    Milestone is looking for a passionate and motivated professional to work onsite at GE in San Ramon, CA in the role of AV/VC Operations and Desktop Support Technician. This is a full-time role with benefits.

    Responsibilities

    Technical responsibilities include but are not limited to audio, video, conferencing technology, Apple iOS, Windows, and other computer related support. Capability to assess issues confidently and quickly and perform basic troubleshooting. We are looking for an end-user support technician to primarily support for the general population but also have the composure, presence, technical aptitude and customer service skills to support executive-level staff.

     

    The AV/VC Technician will perform the following services for supporting GE’s business needs:

    1. Event Support
    • Facilitate GE internal events
    • Manage event requests
    • Manage AV/VC infrastructure used to support GE managed events
    • Manage planned AV/VC events while refining a standardized process for event management
    • Tours of Design Center
    • Facilitate training sessions for users, teams and business units on how to effectively use collaboration and AV/VC tools.
    1. Concierge/Meeting Support
    • Facilitate GE sponsored Internal Executive meetings
    • High Touch/ High visibility VIP meeting management
    • Staffing and scheduling for VIP meetings
    • Perform “dress rehearsals” for VIP meetings
    • Immersion Rooms meeting support
    • Conference Rooms meeting support
    • Immersion Rooms infrastructure support
    1. Design Center Innovation/Management
    • Infrastructure Support
    • Identify areas for improvement as it relates to current Design Center technology infrastructure
    • Participate in architecture discussions related to the Design Center.
    • Provide feedback and guidance as to whether future plans could be effectively supported in the Design Center, or if technical changes would be needed to support future requirements.
    1. Technical Room Sweeps
    • AV/VC conference rooms daily support service
    • Remediation and standardization of rooms
    • AVI (Room) Inspections
    • Escalation management
    • Ensure all equipment is functional and orderly, and collaborate with GE
    • Facilities Maintenance team when necessary to resolve equipment or room issues
    • Plan for future, keeping upcoming events in mind
    • Documentation of process
    1. AV/VC Documentation Management
    • Create, manage and improve documentation used to train end users on collaboration tools
      • Skype for Business
      • Microsoft Teams
      • Telepresence
      • WebEx
      • Outlook

     

    Qualifications

    • At least two years of experience in the Audio/Visual field.
    • Understanding and implementing setup and operation of all audio-visual equipment.
    • Ability to understand signal flow and process as well as the ability to communicate this to others.
    • Experience with video conferencing technology (Cisco, Polycom, Skype, and WebEx).
    • Experience with control systems (Crestron, AMX, and Extron).
    • Experience with high level customer service.
    • Demonstrates and uphold company core values
    • Ability to handle several simultaneous projects while demonstrating urgency and ownership to drive an overall program to completion.
    • Strong communication skills and experience working with highly technical management teams.
    • Strong organizational, documentation, and coordination skills along with multi-tasking capabilities to get things done in a fast-paced environment.
    • Ability to motivate and focus cross functional teams to reach challenging goals.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, exposure to large-scale systems.
    • Communicate to technical and non-technical customers and clients as needed.
    • Web or Internet start-up environment and customer service experience a big plus.
