Global Security Strategic Initiatives (GSSI) develops global programs that optimize processes, mitigate risk, and drive results to support the mission of the company and the advancement of the Global Security organization.
As the Global Security Strategic Initiatives (GSSI) Strategic Planning Specialist I - SMO, you will report to the Strategic Planning Lead and be responsible for leading and/or supporting assigned GSSI projects and the cross-functional efforts associate with their delivery.
Support Strategic Planning Lead to ensure alignment and socialization of that strategy with the Global Security Strategic Initiatives leadership
Responsible for direct oversight of the tracking and documentation of all short-term/long term goals and objectives of Global Security
Utilize effective communication strategies to ensure key strategic planning updates are shared consistently and effectively with GS and GSSI leadership
Must have a thorough understanding of the organization’s strategic goals to facilitate the process of matching project objectives to business need
Create concise documentation including but not limited to the following: knowledge base, Wiki, Processes, Best Practices, training material, and presentation.
Work cross-functionally with all relevant stakeholders across Global Security, as well as external partners and customers to assist in documenting the Global Security strategy
Conduct organizational interviews to ensure updates on GS Goals and objectives
Identify strengths and weaknesses and evaluate operational effectiveness in the event the SP Lead is unavailable
Assist in the communication amongst functions such as Business Intelligence, Strategic Business Partnerships and Content Management.
Provide information to the strategic planning team and/or management regarding data, information, and research (e.g., market data, competitive analysis, etc.) in clear concise presentations
Write and simplify processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions.
Makes recommendations based on emerging trends, expansion opportunities, competitive threats, viability of outside business partners, and internal business process improvement.
Bachelor’s degree in a relevant area or equivalent experience required
Excellent customer service, written/verbal communication, and presentation skills.
Strategic planning skills, preferably in a tech environment, that drive results
Demonstrated leadership skills in a crossfunctional capacity.
Knowledge of processes & procedures development.
Strong process and analytical skills with sharp decision-making abilities
Highly motivated and able to work independently as well as in a team environment
Tech savvy, thrives on using technology to manage projects and solve problems
Experience with document management and/or information architecture.
