Come work alongside expert engineers and research scientists to create the technology that makes VR and AR pervasive and universal. The Prototype team is part of the AR/VR Core Operations Team, which is responsible for receiving, tagging, delivering, and tracking all hardware that comes through the organization. As a Prototype Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will support all prototype shipping, receiving, and delivering for the client at Facebook.

    Responsibilities

    Ideal candidate will have experience in Reverse Logistics as well has regular shipping receiving experience outlined below.

     

    Revers Logistics:

    • Complete and supervise materials and equipment requests
    • Assist with unload of shipment received to the warehouse and conduct inbound services, which include receiving and processing equipment from suppliers and various sites; deliver shipments to stock rooms and local help desks
    • Completing data entry in inventory management systems verifying accuracy of requests matching quantities and types
    • Prepare shipments including create and paste labels, removing any old, non-needed stickers, organize packaging to ensure safety
    • Take part in year-round and general inventory procedures, cycle count
    • Clean and refurbish equipment in preparation for returning to stock, logging information in inventory management system

    Responsibilities

     

    * Asset tag, cycle count, verify, and receive all incoming prototype shipments in Asset Management Database

    * Inspect received goods making note of and reporting on any damage/discrepancies

    * Perform weekly cycle counts of all prototypes in the warehouse to update inventory management database and identify inventory discrepancies

    * Maintain quality customer service by providing friendly and responsive processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing prototype shipments

    * Ensure the accurate sorting and delivering of all prototypes and other shipments to the proper addresses through the tools provided

    * Deliver prototypes to Facebook Campus in Menlo Park

    * Pick up and receive confidential e-wastes from departments to storage

    * Check waste baskets and recycling containers in the warehouse

    * Inspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items

    * Work with AR/VR Logistics to prepare items for processing, shipment, or transportation

    * Work in a warehouse environment on a fast-pace line processing, sorting, and staging packages for delivery

    * Schedule courier pickups: both domestics and international inbound and outbound

    * Pick and pack the product to fulfill orders

    * Other duties as assigned

    Qualifications

    Requirements

    * Education/Experience

    o Minimum 1-3 years customer service, international shipping/receiving, and warehouse experience required

    o Knowledge in FedEx freight and customer relations

    o Experience working with confidential materials

     

    * Technical Skills

    o Proficiency in Microsoft Office

    o Familiarity with inventory management tools preferred

    o Experience operating forklifts/lift trucks recommended, certification a plus

    o Basic understanding of different operating systems (Mac, Windows, and Linux)

     

    * Soft Skills

    o Agile and exhibits a strong sense of urgency

    o Exceptional professionalism and customer service skills

    o Excellent task management, verbal and written communication skills combined with relentless follow up

    o Strong organizational skills and attention to detail

    o Team oriented

     

    * Other Job Requirements

    o Maintain prototype confidentiality at all times

    o Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly

    o Communicate appropriately and effectively with co-workers and management

    o Ability to lift and/or move items 10-50 lbs.
