    The Security Systems Specialist works within the Systems and Technology function of the Global Safety and Security department reporting to the Sr. Manager of Systems and Technology.

    Responsibilities

    • Must have knowledge of electronics, electrical security systems, computer systems and computer programming (SQL queries, Excel scripts), as well as security systems administration and installation experience.
    • Recent experience administering Lenel access control or Avigilon video systems
    • Knowledge of security systems operations
    • Knowledge of networking practices and procedures:
    • Performs day to day troubleshooting of system defects reported by the Global Security Operations Center or as reported on ServiceNow.
    • Coordinates with WPR site contacts and vendor field technical personnel at remote sites on troubleshooting and testing of reported system defects.
    • Maintains all assigned service request tickets via the ServiceNow platform.
    • Performs testing and commissioning of new systems installations. Maintains documentation of same and saves on established repository.
    • Supports new technology or system enhancement projects.
    • Generates and/or develops reports from various sources, Lenel, ServiceNow, Avigilon, etc.
    • Manages the spares inventory at the Santa Clara headquarters site.
    • Collaborates with other groups and departments directly to ensure successful outcomes.
    • Generates new techniques, ideas and solutions that can improve delivery quality.

    Qualifications

    Formal Education, Licenses and Certifications:

    1. Must be able to acquire and maintain any appropriate licensing or certification requirements (Lenel OnGuard)
    2. A high school diploma
    3. An Associate’s Degree or greater in electronics, electrical or computer systems or eight years of field related experience or equivalent combination of collegiate education and experience.
