    The Logistics Technician is responsible for data center asset lifecycle management and warehouse support in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. 

    The Logistics Technician performs primary job responsibilities in compliance with standard operating procedures (SOPs), program, safety, meeting requirements for quality and quantity of work.  The Logistics Technician is responsible for the data integrity of all assets on the data center floor.   The Logistics Technician will receive and create work orders in a standard ticketing system, providing clear, timely, and appropriate customer communications and ensuring customer service standard is achieved.  



    Primary Responsibilities

    • Performs shipping and receiving tasks, including (but not limited to) using scanners and software to receive and tag assets; using scanners to manage asset data; creating bills of lading; processing RMAs.
    • Performs inventory control and quality audits to validate data integrity and resolve discrepancies.
    • Prepares shipments for lease return, asset disposal, or other needs.
    • Record keeping such as shipping/receiving logs, packing list scanning/filing, item stock levels, etc. Reports and documents any changes to records associated with assets and stock items.
    • Performs routine audits and cycle counts to ensure data integrity and optimal stock levels.
    • Handles systems, racks, cables, and other various equipment and components. Will routinely perform tasks associated with data center hardware.
    • Ensures cleanliness of all on-site warehouse and storage areas.
    • Reports and files damage claims.
    • Performs any additional tasks and oversees any projects required by management.

    Education and Experience

    • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience in business management, inventory control or related field.
    • At least 2 years of experience in logistics, supply chain, warehousing, receiving, inventory control, or materials management or in a high volume enterprise environment.


    Required Skills

    • Excellent written communications skills (technical writing skills are a plus).
    • Excellent professional and interpersonal communication skills to work in a team environment with frequent regular interactions with the customer, team-members and vendors.
    • Able to work with little/no supervision.
    • Must be a self-starter and self-motivated.
    • Knowledge of process and quality management strategies such as Six Sigma, 5S Methodology, Kaizen, and Total Quality Management (TQM) (is a plus).
    • Knowledge of safety management and OSHA standards in a warehouse environment.
    • Excellent attention to detail and organizational skills.
    • Ability to multi-task, analyze and problem solve.
    • Ability to learn, prioritize and adapt to changing conditions, technologies and workplace requirements.
    • Excellent time management skills and punctuality.
    • Ability to operate material handling equipment such as pallet jacks and forklifts.
    • High-level knowledge and experience with Microsoft Office products, especially Outlook, Excel and Word.
    • Must be able to routinely and independently lift up to 50 lbs.
    • Must have own transportation to the work site.
