    Our team shows product demos globally and needs a highly skilled and experienced IT professional to drive the program forward. This employee would collaborate with the Demo team to create an awesome and consistent experience for inward-facing and external visitors. They would ensure that all hardware in at the Menlo Park campus is running smoothly and partner with the training coordinator to establish best practices around the world.
     
    This role would drive the technical side of the demo experience within our offices globally. This includes building and managing the tech required to drive safe and awesome experiences - including PC selection, order management, and inventory. The employee would customize and update PC and cell phone images that meet security requirements and consistently perform well. 
     
    This position will be responsible in building out and leading a new, fast growing team so leadership is imperative to be successful in this role.

    Responsibilities

    • Serve as the go-to resource for all global Demo Operations technical inquiries, providing support for one-off issues as needed.
    • Ensure equipment inventory (including prototypes) for global Oculus sites is being managed appropriately.
    • Oversee the implementation and maintenance of a multi-site dogfooding project meant to increase employee engagement with VR for Productivity.
    • Partner with Content teams, Marketing groups, and internal Content champions to ensure the seamless experiences.
      Create standards for a safe and high quality demo experience that consistently exceeds expectations.
    • Collaborate with internal teams to keep equipment performance high.
    • Support growth and management of key personnel on demo team.
    • Teach brand ambassadors how to use IT equipment and maintain best practices.
    • Communicate with site leads to meet local standards with available technology.

    Qualifications

    • 5+ years experience in an IT, IT-events, or similar position.
    • Undergraduate degree or work equivalent.
    • Hospitality experience a plus.
    • Gaming experience a plus.
    • Good project management skills and the ability to effectively multitask and manage complex operations, prioritize and meet deadlines.
    • Ability to travel domestically and abroad. Expectation for Travel: 10%.
