    The Technical Writer will support the Global Security Data Centers team by creating/updating training materials, standard operating procedures, run books, etc to support Global Security in its mission to protect the people, property, and reputation of the organization.


    For this position, Milestone is looking for a Technical Writer who has experience with Confluence or similar knowledge base management and information architecture or file management and taxonomy, as well as sound communication skills. The candidate would also help with the following:


    • Develops, writes, and edits documentation.
    • Write concise technical documentation including but not limited to the following: knowledge base, Wiki, Processes, Best Practices, training material, and presentation.
    • Simplifies processes and procedures into understandable language, workflows, and instructions.
    • Writes and maintains existing wiki documentation for organization, content, technical accuracy, and style.
    • Provides key business partners with information and recommendations to assist in the development of training and communication supporting all areas of Global Security operations.
    • Works with clients and supervisors to identify and prioritize new and existing business initiatives which focuses on consistent and efficient operations.
    • Communicates initiative status and feedback to managers, key stakeholders, and senior management throughout the organization.
    • Sets up reviews and walkthroughs with technical SME’s to complete documentation for ongoing use.
    • Understand and apply content towards different content types, tailor content to best fit audience, and apply critical thinking to ensure that content meets standards.
    • Participate in all aspects of documentation development from product planning through release, including but not limited to: develop, writing, editing, and publishing content.



    • Strong IT Knowledge (Cloud file sharing, wiki, collaboration tools)
    • Strong Documentation skills
    • Project Management skills a plus
    • General communication skills


    • Bachelor’s degree in English, Journalism, Engineering, Computer Science, Technical Communications, or similar fields; or equivalent practical experience

    Additional Requirements:


    • Experience with Knowledge base and collaborative tools such as: Confluence, SharePoint, Wiki.
    • Experience with document management and/or information architecture.
    • Distinctive problem-solving and analytical skills combined with strong business acumen and technical ability.
    • Ability to communicate effectively and adapt quickly.
    • Experience working with a large global company.
    • One or more years of applicable experience.
    • High level technical understanding of physical security systems (ccure, genetech, etc). is a plus
    • Previous background in Physical Security/data center or similar field are a plus.
