  • Overview

    Our client is looking for experienced AV Event Technicians to join our team manage onsite event support. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative technologies in the world. Your daily responsibilities will include serving as an event expert, working closely with cross functional teams to coordinate all event logistics. You will utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event requests and post-event follow-up, ensuring all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality event. You will also conduct regular inspection and maintenance of AV systems in event spaces and take ownership of certifying the working order of all equipment.

     

    The ideal candidate will have a track record of running successful events and having excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to play a highly visible role in an exciting, industry-leading technology business.

    Responsibilities

    General Duties:

     




    • Participate in regular weekly meetings to discuss upcoming events and their requirements



    • Manage event calendar(s)



    • Follow all policies, standards or safety guidelines that client requires



    • Communicate any foreseeable problems to Event Service Operations Program Manager at the earliest opportunity



    • Plan and support custom network requirements for events



    • Diagnose network problems impacting one or many internal platform activities



     


     

    Event Support:

     




    • Liaison with cross-functional teams and internal users regarding the exact audio-visual requirements for events



    • Oversee planning and execution of events from large events to small user groups



    • Perform all necessary pre-event checks as required for the event, at least 30 mins prior to the start of the allocated event



    • Pre-event consultation



    • Perform necessary support during events



     


     

    Maintenance & Equipment Checks:

     




    • Carry out regular preventative room checks, ensuring all equipment functions correctly in accordance with the room check procedure and ensuring all AV equipment is always of the highest standard and functioning correctly



    • Complete understanding of signal flow in both audio and video installations



    • Must have excellent problem solving and troubleshooting skills with the ability and to provide advanced troubleshooting on any device



     


    Training:

     




    • Conduct regular trainings on equipment and spaces to users and support personnel



     


     

    Qualifications

    Essential Skills and Experience:



    • Bachelor's degree from an accredited institution or 5+ years of relevant work experience in event coordination

    • Demonstrated success in event coordination and project coordination

    • Ability to work independently and autonomously

    • Superior oral and written communication skills with an innate attention to detail

    • Time management and ability to work under pressure with a high sense of urgency

    • Must demonstrate a positive and professional behavior towards clients and colleagues at all times

    • Be passionate about the job and tasks at hand and be self-motivated and energetic

    • Basic IT knowledge in being able to present using MAC, Windows and Linux

    • Proficiency with any helpdesk support ticket management software

    • Proficiency in Google Apps (Docs, Sheets, Slides and Cal)
