    Responsibilities

    The Compensation Analyst role at Milestone primarily consults management and other key stakeholders as a subject matter expert in the fundamental compensation analysis, comparative talent market assessments, wage and hour employment law compliance and aspects of Total Rewards practices as needed to meet business and client demand. This position is responsible for administering, maintaining, and in some cases, designing and managing compensation policy, programs and procedures designed to continuously improve Milestone’s talent acquisition and retention capabilities worldwide.

    To be successful in this role, significant experience with talent and people data management and reporting, comfort performing moderately complex analytics in Excel, highly confident attention to detail, general ability to work in a high stress environment, influence stakeholders and navigate ambiguity are critically important. This position often works independently as a business partner to internal and external stakeholders and member of many cross-functional project teams.

     

    Responsibilities:

     

    • Administer, maintain and support global compensation programs and procedures, including base and incentive pay, compensation survey management, talent market comp analysis, ad-hoc job analysis for all types of pay changes, compliance audits and total rewards benchmarking
    • Consult internal and external stakeholders on local market compensation expectations, industry best practices and compliance demands for all countries where Milestone operates as the employer and/or legal entity of agency in employment decisions
    • Engage management and functional leaders in Talent, HR, Operations and Sales as a business partner, problem solver, and mediator in the design, review and enforcement of business rules in areas of compensation policy and practice
    • Deliver to meet the basic reporting needs, and assist in the management and governance of a wide array of internal and external compensation, people and talent data to meet the functional needs of our consulting services and analytic products
    • Help drive design, development, and administration of compensation policies, programs, and procedures at Milestone
    • Collaborate and innovate proactively with the Compensation and Talent Analytics Manager to design, develop, improve and expand all aspects of the Compensation policy, programs and procedures at Milestone

    • Effectively manage competing priorities and deadlines to ensure on-time every time response to all ad-hoc stakeholder queries for basic Compensation services or products, and/or escalate as needed, to meet our service delivery commitments
    • Adapt and overcome challenges as they come your way by staying engaged through frequent communication with your team and stakeholders, taking time whenever possible to better understand Milestone’s business model and operations, going above and beyond to understand our clients’ business models and unique service needs, and going out of your way when it strikes you to pursue your own individual career interests

    Qualifications

    • B.S./B.A. in Psychology, Business Administration or other discipline involving the intersection of people and statistics
    • 3+ yrs experience as Compensation Analyst in a mid-large sized organization with global operations in High Tech, or 5+ yrs experience in a related HR/Talent/PeopleOps role requiring and acquiring demonstrable expertise in Compensation
    • Advanced skills required to manage, analyze and report data with Excel, Access, Payroll/HR/Talent Systems (ADP, iCIMS etc), MySQL, or another MS or open-source relational database management system
    • Experience project managing or significantly contributing to the development, localization and implementation of global HR/Talent programs, projects or initiatives over a multiple year period
