    The AV/VC Break/Fix & Event Support Technician is responsible for providing high-level technical assistance to the internal users of our client Workday. This role will support collaboration meetings using A/V systems. Meetings include All Hand’s events, webcasts, and smaller, but global audio or video sessions. Support of various media events and training sessions will also be required. This role will also require a solid understanding of VC platforms such as Zoom and Cisco. Break fix in this role acts as an escalation point for the Level 1 (Sweep Team). Demonstrates a solid understanding of IP Networking technologies (knowledge of the OSI model, experience troubleshooting TCP/IP based issues, switches, routers, etc.) SIP and Jabber knowledge as well as familiarity with the AV/VC industry in terms integrators, hardware manufacturers, and best practices.


    • Maintain, find and repair minor issues reported by room sweeps team and issues reported to the IT AV Support queue (minor issues – AV cable replacement, room display calibration, and sound adjustments/calibration).
    • Maintenance and restoration of VC operations.
    • Operations validation against documented VC standards.
    • VC installations and troubleshooting.
    • Inbound support task management.
    • Escalation of complex issues to appropriate support teams.
    • Set-up and break down audio-visual equipment for meetings and events, such as, projectors, microphones, speakers, etc.
    • Operate and monitor equipment during meetings, such as sound levels, remote cameras, video playback, and webcasting.
    • Communicate with users regarding requirements for upcoming meetings.
    • Connect Windows and Mac devices to Audio Visual equipment.
    • Instruct users in operation of equipment, if necessary.
    • Provide direct development and production of audio and visual content and features for internal meetings delivered through in-room, web, broadcast, streaming, or other media forms.
    • Coordinate and execute the design, logistics, and technical aspects of events based on the stakeholders’ and the Event/AV team’s vision.


    • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in audiovisual or related field
    • Strong customer service skills with the ability to communicate effectively
    • Strong focus and organizational skills
    • Understanding or willingness to learn wiring diagrams and signal flow
    • Basic knowledge of AV integration and installation
    • Basic understanding of multiple DSP’s
    • Demonstrated ability to work independently and prioritize multiple competing tasks
    • Experience with ticketing systems (ServiceNow)
    • Exposure as operating technician for live audiovisual special events a plus
    • Experience as operating technician, as well as planning and execution of live audiovisual special events
