    Seeking a Desktop Systems Specialist to support our growing user base in the United Kingdom. Based in London, the ideal candidate will have a strong working background in IT service support, and will be comfortable resolving user’s problems across a wide range of hardware, software, and network disciplines.  The successful candidate will be able to work autonomously, but will also be able to function as part of a dynamic support team, and will be adept at shifting rapidly between various users problems, be able to prioritize tasks on the fly, and demonstrate excellent customer care skills at all times.

    Responsibilities

    Provide high quality professional IT support to locally based, and remote staff

    Participate in creating, applying, and administering IT solutions to business challenges and needs
    Troubleshoot, repair and document customer hardware and software issues
    Build, provision and deploy Windows and Mac OS X laptops using automated systems

    Provide support both locally and remotely for our new-hire onboarding program
    Create and maintain technical and problem/resolution documentation

    Act as a resource on local IT service development and enhancement projects

    Provide first line support and troubleshooting capability on local network, systems, and storage devices

    Contribute to process and service improvement initiatives

    Periodically travel to other Workday offices to provide onsite support as required

    Qualifications

    Bachelor’s Degree in Information technology and 4+ years of relevant work experience
    Detailed knowledge of computer concepts, PC hardware, and software troubleshooting
    Experience supporting Windows and Mac OS X clients in an enterprise environment
    Solid knowledge of networks including Wireless Networking, Ethernet, and TCP/IP fundamentals

    Strong working knowledge of servers and other backend system components.

    Working knowledge of Audio Video technologies such as Cisco, Crestron, Extron and ClearOne
