    Milestone is seeking a Technical Operations Specialist to support installation and troubleshooting of all equipment in our venue spaces. This is a very technical role which requires support of audio, video conferencing, projection, broadcast video and other event technology equipment. This role will be pivotal in keeping Facebook's existing venue spaces operational as well as responsible for commissioning new venue spaces as they come online across the globe.



    • Technical escalation point for all issues relating to event spaces
    • Troubleshoot routing, wiring, cabling, software and hardware issues
    • Works with Audio Visual Deployment team to install new equipment
    • Manages and maintains documentation of warehouse inventory including spare equipment
    • Manages RMA process of equipment with various manufactures
    • Build documentation of all specialty space routing
    • Educate team on equipment operation and troubleshooting
    • Operate cross-functionally within the team to support audio, video conferencing, projection, broadcast video and other event technology equipment.
    • Contributes and abides by SOP documents, completing detailed event reporting as well as the utilizing event ticketing system.
    • Communicates effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate alternative technical solutions
    • Have the ability to manage your workload and scheduling with minimal supervision
    • Create system documentation for new spaces coming online and work with the install vendors to meet system standards.
    • International travel to support new venue spaces as they open across the globe


    • 5 years working knowledge of audio visual equipment with a proficiency in lighting, sound, video recording and data projection along with experience with the technical challenges and problem solving needs in a event production environment.
    • 7 years prior work experience with minimum high school diploma
    • Able to operate equipment to support Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Local Audio Reinforcement, Video and Graphics Technologies (including projection, switching and formatting), Video Recording and Camera Operation, Internet Broadcast Video Streaming and Network Infrastructure Assessment
    • Experience working with audio video network systems (i.e. audio network protocols, video over IP)
    • Experience with broadcast level routing systems
    • Understands the benefits of the various event formats and the technology needed to support each (i.e. Q&A, Training, Town Hall, Broadcast, etc)
    • Possesses significant knowledge of technical event support system architectures.
    • capable of reading and understanding AV system diagrams
    • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
    • Ability to travel internationally on a monthly or quarterly basis
    • Ability to motivate and focus cross functional and global teams to reach challenging goals.
    • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
    • Web or Internet start-up environment and customer service experience a big plus.
