Our client is looking for experienced AV Event Support Technicians to join our team manage onsite event support. In this role, you will be given the opportunity to work with some of the most innovative technologies in the world. Your daily responsibilities will include serving as an event expert, working closely with cross functional teams to coordinate all event logistics. You will utilize exceptional project management skills to manage pre-event requests and post-event follow-up, ensuring all stakeholders are working together to deliver a high-quality event. You will also conduct regular inspection and maintenance of AV systems in event spaces and take ownership of certifying the working order of all equipment.


The ideal candidate will have a track record of running successful events and having excellent interpersonal and written communication skills. This is a unique opportunity to play a highly visible role in an exciting, industry-leading technology business.


General Duties/Expectations

  • Participate in weekly production meetings discussing upcoming events and requirements.
  • Be a first line of defense against potential problems, escalate according to SLA.
  • Follow all IT policies and SLA’s.
  • Be able to work independently and also part of a production team.



  • Work with event stakeholders to ensure exact technology requirements for events. This includes consultation sessions to acquaint new users with the space.
  • Execute planning and support for large 300+ person external events, Company All-hands meetings down to small (but equally important) team meetings.
  • Be able to operate the full suite of A/V production equipment (Yamaha Audio Mixers, Panasonic and Black Magic video mixers and LiveU video streaming and Ustream CDN).
  • Perform pre-event checks and post event shut-down.
  • Perform event support duties as needed.
  • A flexible schedule to accommodate some night/weekend events.
  • Perform daily presentation space checks, ensuring systems are ready to go for the days use.
  • Have a working knowledge of A/V signal flow in both event technology and installed systems.
  • Provide end-user training and come up with custom solutions on the fly for events.
  • Have great troubleshooting skills and be able to utilize them under pressure.
  • Maintain, deploy and manage Lyft’s fleet of mobile presentation systems.
  • Maintain inventory and storage space.
  • Keep the event production storage clean and orderly.
  • Order consumables as needed.
  • Contribute to the growth of the organization by flagging potential operational issues and escalating them through the proper channels.

  • Effective oral and written skills with attention to detail
  • Knowledge of event production and conferencing technology (Yamaha, Blackmagic ATEM, Panasonic, Ustream, Crestron, Symmetrix, Biamp, Dante, Chromebox for Meetings)
  • Working knowledge of presentation software and simple media editing software (Keynote, Powerpoint, Slides, Photoshop, iMovie)
  • Be passionate about putting on the best event possible.


Preferred Qualifications


  • 5 years relevant work experience in corporate live events, conference center operation, and hotel A/V support.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects with tight deadlines.
  • Quick on your feel and able to negotiate creative solutions quickly and with aplomb.
  • Experience working in a fast-paced high growth environment.
  • Experience with helpdesk ticketing software (JIRA, Zendesk)
  • Proficient in Google Apps
