Overview

Milestone Technologies is seeking an experienced and highly-motivated Sales Professional to fill our Account Manager position. This role supports Milestone’s largest, most strategic clients.

 

In this role, you will work closely with the Milestone Business Development team to drive day-to-day activities in your target accounts, for example, executing on renewals and working with key client stakeholders to resolve issues as they arise.  In conjunction with the Business Development team, you will formulate an overall strategy for your assigned accounts. You will partner with the Milestone extended team, including Service Delivery, Finance, Talent Acquisition, and Executive Management.  Your goal is to become a trusted advisor and partner versus “just another vendor,” to cultivate long-term relationships and maximize value to the client.

 

You will engage at a variety of levels and across multiple functional groups to help develop strategies with key stakeholders to address their ongoing business, financial and technical/IT support needs.

 

To be successful in this position, you must possess a consultative sales approach. Be able to influence and manage internal, as well as client resources.  Clearly and effectively present new ideas and concepts. Have a proven track record of successfully negotiating and closing transactions in the $1M-$5M range. The ability to comfortably discuss technology and pricing in a dynamic environment is a key success factor for the Account Manager position.

Responsibilities

  • Identify the key/appropriate stakeholders and decision makers throughout the organization
  • Develop rapport at all levels to position you and Milestone as a true technology partner
  • Intimately understand the client landscape - services used, competitors, key contacts, politics, etc.
  • Collaborate closely with internal peer groups and our client teams for effective partnering
  • Leverage all resources for pre/post-sales support to maximize close ratio and client satisfaction
  • Formulate comprehensive plans that include account mapping, addressable market analyses, etc.
  • Be able to have effective business conversations to understand needs and relevant solutions

Qualifications

  • Possess at least 5 years work experience in technology sales.
  • A detail-oriented mindset and the ability to perform complex pricing analysis without constant guidance.
  • Ability to learn quickly and proactively seek out information that is not readily presented to you.
  • Knowledge of key trends affecting the IT Services industry such as intelligent automation, outsourcing/offshoring strategies, and evolution of ‘as a Service’ techniques
  • Success-driven, winning attitude, and ability to form solid business relationships at various levels
