The Prototype team is part of the Oculus Operations Team. This team is responsible for receiving, tagging, delivering, and tracking all hardware that comes thru the organization.  As a Prototype Shipping & Receiving Associate, you will support all prototype shipping, receiving and delivering for the client at Oculus. 


  • Asset tag, cycle count, verify and receive all incoming prototype shipments in Beartrack.
  • Inspect the received goods, making note of any damages and discrepancies, and immediately report the issue.
  • Perform weekly cycle counts of all prototypes in the warehouse to update inventory management database and identify inventory discrepancies.
  • Maintain quality customer service by providing friendly and responsive processing and distribution of incoming and outgoing prototype shipments.
  • Ensure the accurate sorting and delivering of all prototypes and other shipments to the proper addresses through the tools provided.
  • Deliver prototypes to Oculus offices in Menlo Park.
  • Pick up and receive confidential e-wastes from departments to storage.
  • Check waste baskets and recycling containers in the warehouse.
  • Inspect deliveries for suspicious or threatening items.
  • Work with Oculus Logistics to prepare items for processing, shipment or transportation.
  • Work in a warehouse environment on a fast-pace line processing, sorting, and staging packages for delivery.
  • Complete other tasks as assigned by the manager.
  • Maintain prototype confidentiality at all time.
  • Manage and operate equipment safely and correctly.
  • Communicate appropriately and effectively with co-workers and management.


  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • Knowledge in FedEx freight and customer relations.
  • Experience in working with confidential materials.
  • Minimum 1-2 years customer service and shipping/receiving related experience preferred.
  • 1-3 years of experience with Microsoft Software.
  • Efficiently handle numerous projects at the same time.
  • Ability to effectively work individually and in a team environment.
  • Excellent communication skills both written and verbal.
  • Regularly lift and/or move objects 10-50lbs.
  • Attention to detail.
  • Must have a good driving record and be able to drive a small truck or van.
