Support the development of new resources, information and standardize security Best Practices within Global Security; enabling a safe and secure environment. The Project Specialist is a skilled and experienced leader with strong communications and organizational skills that will be responsible for working cross-functionally with multiple teams. They will analyze information on myriad security processes across the organization to identify challenges, inefficiencies, and opportunities for improvement.

 

The Global Security Systems & Technology team both programs and commissions the security systems, implements best-in-class technology, and partners with other teams to enhance the security systems experience while keeping people and assets safe.

 

Supports management through project planning and coordination to meet commitments on time and within resource limitations; with client and management approval, assists with the determination of requirements, priorities and monitoring of progress.

Responsibilities

  • Acts as project coordinator for the Regional Technical Project Manager.
  • Manages various scale projects – such as: Moves, Additions and Changes to security systems (access control and CCTV) at existing client offices across the region.
  • Attends regular service meetings with integrators and relevant client teams.
  • Attends regular project meetings as required.
  • Visits construction sites to evaluate project progress as required.
  • Manages relevant security related tasks and project reporting.
  • Communicates out and coordinates security initiatives with a global impact that are rolled out.
  • Provides ongoing communication of planning, project status, issues and risks in a timely fashion to internal security teams and management.
  • Regularly meets with management for status update.
  • Mange security scope associated with confidential & highly sensitive projects.
  • Navigate cross functionally to ensure that all security & IT challenges develop solutions.
  • Bridge the gap by growing knowledge and skills within the team and connecting various disciplines to deliver high impact value.
  • Ensuring effective and efficient communication.
  • Providing project planning associated with security & IT in conjunction with the larger design & construction team.
  • Reporting – scope, schedule, and budget as defined by the larger team.

Qualifications

  • Technical understanding of physical security systems (C-Cure, Genetec, etc) is a plus
  • MEP or GC experience (4+ years)
  • Direct project management experience (2+ years)
  • Possesses planning, organizational, and motivational skills
  • Able to write clearly and succinctly in technical and non-technical formats
  • Experience in root cause analysis, industry benchmarking, survey evaluation and data interpretation
  • Has the ability to apply logic and reason to solve complex problems

Education:

  • Bachelor’s degree
