Overview

Milestone is looking for a qualified Learning and Development Program Liaison or “Pod Lead”. This lead is responsible for being the onsight POC for operational and logistical oversight of the New Hire Orientation event and associated pod.

Responsibilities

Primary POC on operations for New Hire Orientation and associated programs

  • Consultant to stakeholder (program owner) for what is operationally/logistically possible and offer solutions
  • Liaison and “translator” between stakeholder requests and pod learning coordinators to complete weekly event tasks
  • Logistics POC to internal cross functional teams and external vendors
  • Responsible for the oversight of all event logistics and operations

Supervision of New Hire Orientation and associated programs

  • Identify operational program risks and recommend mitigation solutions
  • Lead weekly meetings with the NHO pod to debrief and plan for upcoming events
  • Manage FB groups for weekly new hire cohorts
  • Respond to new hire inquiries through email alias and Salesforce
  • Keep coordinators accountable for tasks by delegating work through the “Event Checklist”

 

Administration and operations maintenance of defined pod of programs

  • Learn system course configuration for New Hire Orientation and associated programs
  • Maintain program content version control (PPTs, materials)
  • Maintain program change log
  • Maintain program documentation (run books, job aids)

Day-of Event Support

  • Provide on-site event management during Orientation by managing NHO pod, support staff, event POC’s, and new hires
  • Manage event schedule and presentations, keeping facilitator and presenters on time
  • Manage in room logistics and support, responding to issues with immediate solutions
  • Create a seamless in room experience for the NHO Facilitator
  • Be willing and able to answer all new hire questions and requests

 

Support vendor contract logistics

  • Coordinate contract logistics (POs, gathering signatures)
  • Coordinate securing vendor PO

 

Observe scope of support to maintain standardization across service, escalate to SDM as needed

Qualifications

  • NHO or similar large-scale event coordination experience
  • Demonstrated sense of urgency and flexibility
  • Demonstrated customer service skills and ability to go beyond what is asked of them
  • Ability to work autonomously
  • Highly motivated individual with a pro-active attitude who can take initiative
  • Functions well in a fast-paced environment
  • Skilled multi-tasker
  • Works well under pressure with tight deadlines
  • Thrives at developing relationships
  • Detail-oriented, highly organized
  • Excellent Communication Skills
  • Confident problem solver & decision-maker
  • Demonstrated delegation skills and experience
  • Leadership skills (though not necessarily Supervisor experience)
  • Comfortable pulling reports and analyzing data
