· Support Roles
o Basic device configuration involving setting IP addresses, subnet masks, default gateways.
o Receiving, unboxing, and preparing servers and datacenter equipment for installation
o Racking / un-racking servers and datacenter equipment
o Cabling and cable dressing servers, datacenter equipment and server racks
o Updating inventory system
o Basic IP Address changes / configuration in BIOS setup
o PDU Installation
· Skills / Requirements:
o Server hardware management experience, including configuration, installation, modification and troubleshooting of server equipment.
o Requires long intervals of standing and walking during on-site support.
o Must be able to lift/move objects more than 45 lbs on a frequent basis.
o Must be able to climb ladders, use a pallet jack, and operate a server lift.
o Must possess an active California driver license.
o Requires occasional movement between data centers located at Client main campus and a co-location ¾ miles away.
· Optional Skills / Preference
o Knowledge of subnetting and how to use subnet masks to determine a network size
o Knowledge of Vlans, including how to configure and modify them
