Overview

Customer Experience Centers contain complex audio, video and interactive technologies designed to immerse partners, clients and distinguished guests in a showcase of client products and projects. They must be maintained by knowledgeable, well-trained staff. As an AV / IT  Executive Support Technician in the Customer Experience Center, you must be proficient in AV / IT and general system administration based disciplines and be able to pick up new technologies very quickly.

Responsibilities

  • Provide onsite support for visitors and executive level events
  • Perform daily maintenance of hardware and software for internal platform
  • Execute monthly preventative maintenance on all hardware
  • Diagnose network problems impacting one or many internal platform activities
  • Utilize remote access Mac, Linux, and Windows systems to control internal platform (via SSH, VNC; be able to navigate file systems on remote machines)
  • Work with Client Engineers to troubleshoot difficult internal problems
  • Write Apple and bash scripts, familiarity with JavaScript and Python
  • Strong diagnostic skills
  • Adept in Technical Documentation
  • Ability to meet and exceed service deadlines
  • Communicate effectively with clients to identify needs and evaluate solutions
  • Work with internal ticketing system
  • Participate in creating video and graphic content

Qualifications

  • Demonstrated leadership abilities
  • Project management skills a plus.
  • Possess strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills, be able to present ideas in a user-friendly language, and enjoy working in a team-oriented, collaborative environment.
  • The ability to prioritize and execute tasks in a high-pressure environment and make sound decisions is required, along with a keen attention to detail and strong customer service skills

 

Must be fluent in English

 

Experience Requirements:

2+ Years AV experience

2+ Years IT experience

 

Technical Skill Set Requirements:

 

AV/VC skills as follows:

  • Deploy & Troubleshoot LCDs, Projectors, Cameras, Amplifiers, Microphones, Video Walls
  • Familiarity with technologies; Christie, Crestron, Black Diamond, Spyder, NEC, Mitsubishi, Nexia, Shure, Barco, Yamaha CL3, ETC Ion, Evertz, Ross Carbonite
  • Knowledge of graphic design and video editing a plus

 

IT proficiency with the following:

Linux command line, basic system administration

Ability to write cron scripts

DHCP

DNS

Basic networking

TCP/IP

DHCP/DNS

Routing

Network Testing

Remote Access

SSH

VNC

Operating Systems

Apple Macintosh OS X

Ubuntu Linux

Windows 2008 Server

Troubleshoot computer hardware problems
