Milestone Technologies is looking to source an experienced AV Event Technician to provide onsite support for one of our top Social Media Companies.

o Communicates with Event Producers effectively as well as explain our services to technical and non-technical customers and clients as needed.
o Swaps equipment as needed to maintain service levels
o Manages Break/Fix and RMA requests as needed to maintain service levels
o Monitors assigned videoconferencing calls on end user’s event sites. Troubleshooting as needed to satisfy the end user’s needs and escalate if necessary.
o Assists users on using video conferencing systems before and during events.
o Assists staff with pulling, staging and striking audio/visual equipment for events.
oTakes on tasks in special projects or assignments provided to you by your supervisor and executes them within the given timeline.
o Creates and executes development plans and revises as appropriate to meet changing needs and requirements.
o Keeps ITEvent Operations Manager well informed of status of event support efforts and serves as liaison between technician staff and clients.
o Contributes and abides by SOP documents, completing detailed event reporting as well as the utilizing event ticketing system.
o Owns the technical support lifecycle and is responsible for managing technical risks throughout support planning and delivery.
o Consistently delivers high-quality services to our clients.
o Facilitates team and client meetings effectively.
o Keeps IT Operations team well informed of changes within the IT-Event Operations team news.
o Resolves and/or escalates issues in a timely fashion.
o Understands how to communicate difficult/sensitive information tactfully.
o Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
• Project Related Competencies:
o Solution Development and Delivery
o Understanding and implementing setup and operation of all audio visual equipment .
o Ability to understand signal flow and processing as well as the ability to communicate this to others
• Required Experience:
o Experience with Video Broadcasting
o Experience with Video and Data Switching a very strong plus.
o Experience with Video Capture and Video Conferencing
o Experience with Web-Cast and Collaborative tools such as WebEx.
o Experience with Video Conference technologies such has H323, SIP, and Multipoint Control Units.
o Possesses demonstrated work experience with more than one Video Conferencing System.
• Required Skills:
o PC troubleshooting skills (Mac, Linux, Windows) as it applies to Video Conferencing
o Understands technical concepts and support of Video Conferencing, Audio Conferencing, Local Audio Reinforcement, Video and Graphics Technologies (including projection, switching and formatting), Video Recording and Camera Operation, and Internet Broadcast Video Streaming.
o Understands the benefits of the various event formats (i.e. Q&A, Training, Town Hall, Broadcast, etc…).
o Possesses significant knowledge of technical event support system architectures.
Understands video specific format and file type compatibility issues.
