Overview

Facebook is seeking a Technical Studio Supervisor to work directly with internal clients supporting requests for Facebook Live. This is part of the IT organization, so candidates must be passionate about technology, live customer service, and have the ability to thrive in a fast paced, high pressure environment. This is a full-time position.

Responsibilities

  • Act as local supervisor for live media production and support for on-location shoots
  • Manage staffing and scheduling for offsite live productions
  • Reviews client requests and provides technical direction for the planning, scheduling, and delivery of services
  • Easily step into technical production roles during events based on need
  • Consistently deliver high quality results to clients
  • Be the friendly face of the on-location shoot for visiting guests
  • Create a comfortable environment and a high energy experience for VIP guests
  • Create and update technical standards and documentation
  • Share and collaborate quality or efficiencies with other studio teams
  • Reports to regional Technical Producer

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Communications or Media related field and/or equivalent work experience
  • 3+ years of experience in live, studio television production.
    2+ years experience in engineering support and operational experience in broadcast studio and production control room.
    Minimum of 1 year of experience with field/remote production processes and equipment (including satellite/telco and communications)
  • 2+ years experience with vendor assessment and management
  • 1+ year experience with live streaming
  • Ability to operate video cameras (Canon C300MKII)
  • Ability to operate video switchers(Blackmagic ATEM, ForA)
  • Ability to operate lighting boards (ETC)
  • Ability to operate audio mixers (A&H Z14, Yamaha CL/TF/QL series)
  • Ability to schedule a small team and manage a calendar
  • Ability to multi-task under deadline pressure
  • Ability to communicate effectively in both written and verbal formats.
  • Ability to troubleshoot Windows and Apple based Operating Systems.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule including nights and weekends as needed.
  • Ability to lift 50 lbs.
  • International travel experience
  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including relationship building and collaboration within a diverse, cross-functional team.
  • Web or Internet start-up environment and customer service experience a big plus.
  • Professionally groomed to company standards, specific location’s standards, and to the standards of our clients.
