Overview

Acting as the conduit between Milestone’s Service Delivery Manager and staff; the Learning and Development Team Supervisor is responsible for leading a large group of individual contributors and will spend time delegating tasks, negotiating workloads, assessing performance and reporting on developments. The Team Supervisor is responsible for the day to day, tactical operations and performance of their group. The overall service health depends greatly on this role. Furthermore, the role is to develop and enhance our talent and evolve Milestone’s future leaders.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee daily task load for coordination activities, ensuring quality and efficient delivery
  • Produce strategic plans for direct reports, aligned to delivering world class customer service and consistently achieving key performance indicators
  • Identify, select, manage and train direct reports
  • Proactively address performance issues in order to support minimal attrition and churn within the service
  • Partner with human resources to ensure that performance management objectives are met, on target and aligned to employee group’s assignment
  • Ensure all health and safety standards are met and that required training is completed on time
  • Monitor and report on activities that fall outside of the scope of work
  • Develop self and maintain relative knowledge of the Learning and Development service
  • Design and document internal training materials, best practices, standard operating procedures and workflows
  • Conduct regular performance reviews and appraisals
  • Proactively communicate any service obstacles or opportunities for enhancements
  • Develop and maintain staffing schedules in order to ensure ample coverage while driving cost efficiencies for the client

Qualifications

  • Strong aptitude with all Microsoft programs (outlook, excel, PowerPoint, word)
  • Able to quickly grasp proprietary tools and programs
  • Exceptional attention to detail, grammatically accurate
  • Understanding of learning environment (adult learning principals, facilitator basics)
